'North Lodge View - Winter Evening'

Jean Royle produced a series of five slandscape paintings as viewed from the window of her home in Newstead Abbey Park, Nottinghamshire during the mid 1960's. Here she captures the lighting and atmosphere of a cold winter evening by using a mixture of pastel, chalk and conté.
