Jean Royle created this original card design in the late 1980's. Many versions were produced from the original lino block. In this one Jean Royle has printed the image of the tree within a landscape in black and added a hand painted background and details with water colour. The preliminary sketches for this design are taken from Jean Royle's sketchbook and are shown below.
