'Christmas Eve'
Jean Royle created this Christmas card design in the 1940's. The idea for the lino print Christmas card design 'Christmas Eve' was taken directly from the surroundings of Jean Royle's home in one of the many Suffolk cottages in which she lived. Cottages then always had a cast iron coal range with an open fire and a fender. There was no electricity so a kettle sits on the hob.
